Preview: Joan Jett @ Silver Springs Nature and Theme Park

The “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”, Joan Jett will be performing in concert this Saturday at Ocala’s Silver Springs Nature and Theme Park. Getting her first guitar at the age of just 13 was the beginning to this icon’s music career. In the 1970s Jett became one of the founding members of the all-girl rock band the Runaways, alongside drummer Sandy West. She eventually pursued a solo career and then formed the Blackhearts. They have three albums that have been certified Platinum or Gold. The hit song; “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll”, reached No. 1 on the Billboard hot 100. Their other hit songs include; “Crimson and Clover”, “I Hate Myself for Loving You”, “Do You Want to Touch Me”, “Light of Day”, “Love Is All Around” and “Bad Reputation.”
